Solar Hot Water
The energy of the sun can be harnessed to produce hot water through the use of solar collectors. These collectors concentrate solar radiation to produce high temperatures. This heat can be used to produce domestic hot water, assist with radiant floor or high efficiency baseboard heating, pool and spa heating, or any other application where hot water is needed.
In many cases, the amount of hot water produced by a solar collector is not sufficient to satisfy 100% of the hot water demand. This is simply because no hot water is produced at night and there usually isn’t enough space to store enough hot water for demands when there is no solar production.
